Claire Bischoff is an award-winning watercolor artist and designer.
Claire was homeschooled through elementary and middle school which allowed for additional time and focus to be given to her passionate exploration of the world through reading, music, and art. Her free time was spent wandering the woods and meadows behind her house with only her sketchbook and pencil. This ignited a lifelong love of nature which became a source of limitless inspiration for her art.
Claire’s artistic education included private study at a European-style art school and a charter school for the arts. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in graphic design at Montana State University, providing a professional avenue to use her creativity that also strengthened her understanding and use of value, color and composition in her art.
After the birth of her second child, Claire rediscovered the solace her art had been throughout her life. In the haze of early motherhood, her art became an anchor - the stabilizing and life-giving element that she had been desperately searching for. She fell in love with watercolor for the versatility and depth it brought to her art. Learning everything she could about the medium through research and personal exploration, she gradually developed her own artistic style balancing guided brushstrokes with the loose, playful nature of watercolor.
Claire Bischoff is a signature member of the Montana and Nevada Watercolor Societies and routinely exhibits her work in their member and international shows. Her paintings have repeatedly taken First Place and Best of Show among other awards. Her work can be found in private collections across the country.
